Maka is such a wonderfully written character.

Beyond having the normal set of human emotion, Maka is one of the most capable female characters I have ever seen that also questions herself like anyone in her position would. Her teammates are a Death God and a Ninja. She is a normal person that has a ton of talent and falters a lot. But she is never shown as weak. Just lost.

Maka is an amazing strategist (especially for her age), she is an excellent scythe-meister, and a great friend that tries to help, even through her own shortcomings.
