#5 - Kirito and Asuna
This relationship was so refreshing when it happened. I saw it coming (if they both lived) but not quite how it played out; I didn't expect it to be so straightforward. It was really nice to see that these two needed each other. Some people complain about age and other things but, considering the amount of stress everyone in SAO was under, it's not surprising that they wouldn't waste any time with each other. I was disappointed with the Alfheim arc due to the complete destruction of Asuna's character but I hope the focus goes back to include her in the coming seasons.
